Ariwara no Shigeharu (在原滋春)

ARIWARA no Shigeharu (dates of birth and death unknown) was a poet who lived during the first half of the Heian Period. His father was ARIWARA no Narihira. He was also called Aritsugu no Kimi.

His poems were collected in chokusen wakashu (anthology of Japanese poetry compiled by Imperial command) such as "Kokin Wakashu" (A Collection of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poetry) and "Shin Chokusen Wakashu" (New Imperial Anthology of Japanese Poetry), and he is also said to have been the author of "Yamato Monogatari" (Tales of Yamato), a collection of short tales centering around poems, but it is not certain. It is said that he died at Wado, Kai Province.
